Refund Policy

Aquatics Refund Policy

Seasonal Passes are non-refundable. Exceptions may be made if the member has experienced a personal event that shortens the length of the season, or the member’s ability to use the facility. BCRD will issue a refund if the pass holder’s season is cut short due to one of the following:

  • Injury or Illness that prevents the pass holder from using the pass
  • Pregnancy
  • Military Service deployment
  • A stay-at-home order issued by the city, county, state, or federal government.

BCRD may ask for documentation of the above from the pass holder before issuing a refund.

The amount of any refund issued will be based on the following schedule:

  • 80% refund up to June 27, 2025
  • 50% refund up to July 18, 2025
  • 30% refund up to August 1, 2025

No refunds will be issued for passes after August 1, 2025

Program Registrations include a 10% non-refundable fee. Cancelations made after the start of the program will not be refunded unless due to one of the listed criteria:

  • the participant is injured, becomes ill, or is asked to leave the program due to the participant being a danger to him/herself and/or others
  • the program is cancelled due to weather or other circumstances beyond the control of BCRD
  • the program is cancelled due to a federal, state, or county mandated closure.

If the participant meets the criteria above, a refund will be issued on a prorated basis according to days left in the program less 10%.

Cabana Rentals

Water, cabanas, music and fun—the Aquatic Center is big enough to accommodate a large gathering and has more intimate spaces for smaller groups.

Lifeguarding at the Aquatic Center

Lifeguards must be at least 15 years old and pass a Jeff Ellis and Associates lifeguard certification course, which is considered the gold-standard in aquatic risk management. Training includes master lifesaving techniques, first-aid, AED use, and supplemental oxygen use.

Course participation does not guarantee future employment at the BCRD Aquatic Center but is mandatory for anyone wishing to apply to be a part of the Lifeguard Staff.
